There are big goin’ ons in the Steffen household. Dreams seem within reach and lifetimes may be affected. Yes, that's a tease, but it's also a reminder for us.
When Kelsey and I began Full of Days, at our core was the idea of One Degree. It's so easy, even natural, to apply the concept to the negative. The need for discipline with our thoughts and our actions, easily recognizable in words like anxiousness, irritation, reaction, and rumor.
But what about with words like dreams, excitement, anticipation, and passion?
One degree applies...even when the intent is pure and subject positive.
As anxiousness can cloud a course, so can excitement. Reaction can set a course that will require eventual correction, so can dreams. Speculation, seems as common in rumor as in anticipation. Getting carried away can have pitfalls, regardless.
Dream, and dream big, and then plot a course. Start moving forward and enjoy the view along the way.
For us, the fun stuff happens, the dreams come true, through the same intentional discipline that helps us avoid the negative.
…and still take the time chop firewood in case the course chases you back to port for a time.
