WE’RE LATE!!!...Again

So part of this inaugural year of Full of Days is learning its rhythm.

With goals for three posts per week, Guest Contributors (we are up to three! - See below to meet our newest...and oldest - friend that is - Mia!), adding videos (click on the "swing set" image above), guest posting on other blogs, harvesting, and the realities of everyday life, finding rhythm has occasionally morphed into some out of step beats. Our most recent learning curve has been a family trip.

Not "family vacation" mind you - family trip. If you have kids then you understand the difference between a "trip" and a "vacation". Hint: one includes children and one does not!. We recently went on a trip...We need a vacation =)

I want to dub the recent trip: "Oregon's Best Playgrounds and State Parks...and Coffee Shops". We had posts and newsletter editions mapped out and ready to go...and then the trip began. Turns out we didn't quite have it all figured out.

But we did have a great time, kids loved seeing family, biking through a few beautiful parks (Silver Creek Falls & Champoeg), and I toured Salem's best coffee shops - The Ike Box and Archive are 5 Star - it was a working trip for me

So forgive us for missing a few posts and one newsletter...we learned our lesson and it won't happen again!

- Jason

That huge, Costco-sized canister of marjoram you bought five years ago because it was a good deal? It's probably time to toss it!

Where Do I Start?

We get it. Five years after deciding to pursue a Natural Lifestyle we're still learning...so where should you get started? It's the most consistent sentiment we hear and question we are asked: "it's so overwhelming, where do I start?"

To help, we have plans for the second half of 2016 to arrange the content on Full of Days in a "step by step" manner. Providing more "entry" points and plans to follow for a more Natural Lifestyle.

In the mean time we will update certain resources along the way. This month it is the "Products We Love" page. Consider using the page like this: any time you run out of product at home, say laundry soap, search the Products page for a healthier alternative. Receive some birthday money and want to make kitchen processes easier? Search the page for recommended kitchen equipment.

No, this is not a clever way for us to get you to buy stuff. If you appreciate Full of Days and resources we offer then great! Buy some of these products through our Amazon or other links. Or simply use it as a resource to spur more personal research!

Essential Oils - Look for It!
A few weeks back we introduced you to new Full of Days contributor - Heather Gardner. We are continuing to utilize Essential Oils more and more in our own home, and by the response we've received, you are as well. We wanted to highlight posts on the topic, so look for the Eucalyptus leaves and keep learning!

Old Friend - New Contributor: Mia White
Welcome Mia, my long-time, childhood friend of almost 30 years!

Mia started blogging over at Unto Adoption back in 2012 where she and her husband cataloged their family’s adoption adventure. Their “Gotcha Day” (where “Little Man” officially became part of their family) was over two years ago and now Mia continues to blog about motherhood, home-school and daily life on their little slice of heaven in Montana.

I aspire to write with her wit and creativity and we’re ever so lucky to have coerced her into guest blogging for us here at Full of Days – Kelsey
